> Unique information campaign <
Where did the idea come from to inform politicians: Congressman Steve Cohen in an interview for CNN TV in May 2021 said that Poland was worse during World War II (for Jews) than NAZI Germany. After many months of work by several people, the information materials are ready, and we can use them.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
there is a chance to do something special and useful for Poland and the Polish diaspora, by joining an action that will be remembered for a long time. This will be a preparatory action for future lobbying (i.e. demanding something).
The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of Polonia among congressmen by visiting their offices in Washington on April 7-10 and providing them with attractive, concise materials on Poland, Polonia and the Polish American Congress. This knowledge about us will certainly make it easier for us to contact politicians and lobby in the future.
The cost of the stay will be affordable, because we plan to stay in a hotel on the outskirts of the city near the metro. We will take the metro to the buildings where the Congressmen's offices are located. Each team will take care of one building, or maybe even just a few floors, depending on how many of us go. If enough people come, it will be possible to carry out this action in one day and return earlier or use the stay for sightseeing.
What to do:
1) Knock at the door,
2) Enter the office,
3) Introduce yourself, e.g. I represent PASI ED,
4) Say: I have interesting materials about Polish ethnic group,
5) Hand over an envelope with bookmarks: Kościuszko, Pułaski, PAC and the brochure “Poland Heart of Europe”
6) Then thank them and leave. (This will take about 3-4 minutes).
Go to the next door.
